Creating Fine Architectural Stained Glass Since 1979
Hand Crafted Windows
Each Pompei commission is handmade, drawing upon skills that date back to the 11th century. Stained glass designs include Victorian, Frank Lloyd Wright & Prairie, Arts & Crafts, Mission, and Craftsman styles, along with Contemporary and Abstract design themes.
A Fusion of Design & Function
At Pompei Stained Glass the design of a window unites line, color, and texture with the purposeful, artful, and magical potentials of light.
Our panels are made- to-order and may assume a vast range of expression and function. Stained glass windows are often used to obscure an unsightly view. or to maximize daylighting while maintaining privacy. Our glass can transform the mood of an entryway into one of stately elegance or simply dressing up a window or portion of a room.

So, how is a stained glass window made?
Most people have little idea of what goes into the making of a leaded glass window. This six minute video from our friends at How Its Made covers the several steps involved in creating a leaded window – from design, to glass cutting, to glazing with lead came, soldering and finally the cementing the panel. The techniques you will see in the video are what we use at Pompei Glass when we design and fabricate a window for your home or business. The Lamberts Glass video demonstrates the amazing process of manufacturing hand blown antique glass.
Recent Commissions of Note
These windows were inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Coonley Playhouse stained glass panels. Spanning a height of over eight feet, these somewhat whimsical windows provide a focal point with splashes of color and texture. They are located in a private residence in Texas.
The Bryan Museum in Galveston, Texas commissioned us to create new windows, including period stained glass treatments for their main entry, several transom windows, along with two 36″ x 80″ window panels (depicted above) with the museum name painted in the center medallion. The challenge was to create windows which after installed would appear to be original to their historic Gothic mansion built in 1894.
